Job Description
Technology assistant will help train youth workers and mentors with computer/zoom use and troubleshoot problems with computers and online communication tools (Zoom).
Technology Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
∙ Customer service –technology assistant provides assistance and training to others
∙ Communication skills – technology assistant should use good verbal communication skills to relay complicated information about computer software programs in a way that’s easy for others to understand
∙ Computer skills – technology assistant will work with mentors and youth workers and computer and internet daily, which requires excellent computer hardware and software skills
∙ Diagnostic skills– With attention to detail, diagnoses computer problems and issues
- Technical Support and Training— Provide technical support for using computer accessories and computer programs, such as teaching a user how to access Zoom. Answering questions about properly using computer applications and hardware.
- Troubleshoot Software Issues— Troubleshoot computer software problems to isolate technical issues and determine their causes.4
- Perform Computer Maintenance— Perform maintenance to keep programs and hardware functioning smoothly while mentors and students are online.
Technology Assistant Hours and Salary: July 27-30 15 hours at Hope Community Ministries August 3 – 28 15 hours a week facilitating Zoom presentations (4 weeks)
$15/hr
Experience Requirements and Qualifications:
∙ High school diploma required
∙ Self-directed and able to work independently
∙ Friendly and courteous at all times
∙ Pays attention to detail
∙ Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills
∙ Strong planning and organizational skills are essential
∙ Use consistent good judgment
∙ Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction
∙ Ability to explain technology in an easily understood manner
∙ Self-directed and able to work independently and with others
∙ Friendly and courteous at all times
∙ Pays attention to detail
