ROSEMONT SUMMER CAMP 2021 LET’S GET CREATIVE!
CREATIVE ARTS SUMMER CAMP for THREE weeks of virtual programming for up to 50 elementary aged children, July 6-23, 2021.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Your talents in creative arts, dance, music, drama, storytelling, poetry, rap and spoken word will be a gift to the elementary aged children in our Rosemont Summer Camp. Our weekday camp runs from 10am to 2pm with 30 minute slots for the following creative activies: Art, Music, Physical Activity, Drama, and Special Themed Activities. This gives you an idea of our framework during the week. There is plenty of room for creativity at this point. We will provide an honorarium to thank you for your time.
You could:
a. Select one of our three weeks July 6-9, July 12-16, July 19-23 that works for you.
b. Then select a time frame during the day that fits your schedule. Would you like to offer your gifts for 30 min. in one of the morning slots? Or after lunch? We have the option to break into small groups for conversation and activity after you have instructed/demonstrated if that seems appropriate. Or we can remain in the large group to interact with you.
c. Then select the number of days you are willing to help– 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5.
d. NOTE: if you want to participate but cannot commit to any of the times during the camp day, we can provide an opportunity for a pre-recorded video of you sharing your gift that could be used during the camp day.
Process: You would coordinate with our summer camp director and give guidance to our youth workers who will staff the small groups of children. For example: you introduce a skill or a concept and then ask the small groups to work on practicing it and then return back to the large group to debrief/share/show. Any special supplies can be delivered to the children’s homes at the beginning of the week.
